Soccer analyst George Chiusiwa has commended football association of Malawi’s decision of securing two friendlies for Flames during the teams camping in Saud Arabia as part of preparations for Africa cup of nations next month.
Flames is expected to leave for Saudi Arabia on 23 December before traveling to Yaoundé, Cameroon, for AFCON finals scheduled on 9 January to 6 February.
In an interview with Maziko radio station, Chiusiwa said that two friendlies will help to boost flames performance during the Afcon tournament.
Chiusiwa said flames performed poorly in the world cup qualifies whereby with the coming in of this friendlies will help our technical panel to make the right decisions.
“The games will an important platform for the coaches to finally assess the team as well as players,” added Chiusiwa.
